|Clearly Robert hasn't tried the buffalo chicken dip yet|
or he'd be a little happier.
I'm sure you've had your fair share of chicken wing dips but trust this Buffalo girl when she says hers is the best. The reason? I take the recipe right on the bottle of Frank's hot sauce, the holy grail of hot sauces for wings, and make it even better!
Here's how you do it. First, you need only five ingredients, so get the best--it makes a difference.
|Cream Cheese, Frank's Red Hot, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Blue Cheese Dressing |
and One Rotisserie Chicken
You gotta use Frank's, good blue cheese dressing and I suggest using a rotisserie chicken because it's cheap and yummy! Just take the skin off the chicken and shred it.
You can use the whole chicken or 3/4 will do.
If you don't want to use rotisserie, just bake some breasts in the oven. Then grab some other regular blue cheese crumbles and regular cream cheese-the nonfat stuff is pointless here!
Now this is where I stray from the Frank's recipe. It says to mix all the ingredients in a dish and bake. Yuck!!! Instead, here's what you do.
1) Preheat oven to 350' and throw the brick of cream cheese in a medium saucepan on low.
2) Start melting it and the add the blue cheese dressing, Franks and blue cheese.
3) Continue stirring until it's all melted and then add the chicken and just stir until combined.
At this point, you should taste the dip. When you taste it, check to see if you need more hot sauce (as I always do). You could serve it now but I would recommend waiting because you won't have the nice crust you get from baking.
So spoon into an oven safe dish and bake for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and crusty on top.
Serve with tortilla chips or crusty bread and enjoy!!
Mrs. Gosling comment: Oh yea BABY! Buffalo chicken dip is the best and I like how you used a rotisserie chicken, very smart! Question: is there anything that red hot doesn't go with? Seriously! Thanks for sharing - "Guest" blogger!
Mrs. Williams Comment: Just wondering, is it acceptable to eat Buffalo Chicken Dip as a meal?
