Passing Notes Today:  Mrs. Kelly

Hey Girls,

Do you want to make something really amazing for your hubbies this Father's day?  I've got you covered.  Feast your eyes on this:

This recipe wasn't complicated...just a little more time consuming than most recipes I attempt (like pudding).  I used a recipe I found on cookiesandcups.com.  The recipe calls for both milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips but I used all semi-sweet chocolate chips and it still turned out delicious.

Here is the recipe from Shelly's website:

Reese’s Fudge Pie
Ingredients
    Crust
  • 9 graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Fudge
  • 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (8oz) bag Reese’s Minis
  • Peanut Butter Mousse
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz room temp cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip, thawed.
  • *optional 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle
How to Make
    For Crust:
  1. Mix all ingredients together and spread in the bottom of your springform pan. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
  2. Set aside.
  3. For Fudge:
  4. Milk all ingredients together over medium low stirring until chips are melted and smooth.
  5. Spread over your graham cracker crust.
  6. Press Reese’s Minis into the fudge.
  7. For Peanut Butter Mousse:
  8. Mix peanut butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar together in a bowl with a hand mixer until combined and smooth.
  9. Fold in your Cool Whip.
  10. Spread on top of your fudge.
  11. Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired.
Notes
chill at least one hour before serving

Looks like someone has sampled the chocolate.

When it's done, you get this.  This pie is so heavy and rich--a little goes a LONG way.

Mmm.  My mouth is watering just looking at the pictures. I added crumbled peanut butter cups on top just because it wasn't decadent enough.  :)

Dad deserves the best.  And trust me, this IS the best.

Note from Mrs. Gosling:  Maybe I should have another babe, so I can get one of these at my door step.  Totally kidding, like totally!!!!
