School's Out for Summer

Passing Notes Today:  Mrs. Williams

Hey Ladies -

It's that time of year in New York - summer vacation!  We've finally made it to the school year finish line.  Speaking of finish lines - I asked my uber creative cousin, Sarah (Mrs. Law), if she would share some photos of a banner/finish line that she made for her daughter in celebration of spring break and her birthday.  It's so festive and fun and could be used for an end of the school year celebration, too.

Sarah made this banner with a long piece of twine and strips of scrap fabric that she knotted around the twine.
Doesn't that leap for joy say it all?

You can spot the banner in the background of this pic if you can peal your eyes away from the cutie with the balloons.
That banner of finish line fun isn't the only great idea that Sarah has.  She also hosted a party on the last day of school for a few of her mom friends to celebrate the last day.  She figured that they had worked their butts off all school year too and deserved a little breakfast treat - cue the coffee and strawberry muffins!

I'd drink some coffee our of those cute cups any day!
Sarah had a little help in the kitchen to prepare for the moms' end of the school year fete.
Yum!

All this festivity - banners and muffins and leaps for joy make me feel a little giddy for the summer adventures ahead!

Thanks for the inspiration Sarah,

P.S.  You can find the recipe for those muffins here:  http://www.bakedperfection.com/2013/05/strawberry-muffins.html

Note from Mrs. Gosling:  Loves me some fabric scrap banners and kitchen goodness.  I wouldn't mind being a kid in this household.  Thanks for sharing Sarah and happy "finish line" to your kiddies!

Note from Mrs. Kelly:  Holy eye candy batman!  There are so many things I love about this post...the sweet scrap banner, the fact that she made a banner, the beautiful kids, the balloons, the shoes, the water carafe....ahhh.  I have sensory overload.  Thanks for sharing.  I can tell you and Mrs. Williams are related.  :)
