Passing Notes Today: Mrs. Kelly
Since we're talking about travels this week, I thought I would share a recent trip I made...to a galaxy far, far away. My brother and sister-in-law (Mrs. Fallon) threw a Star Wars themed birthday bash for my nephew. I mean, what else do you do when you have a May 4th birthday (see picture caption below)?
When we arrived, we were greeted by this handmade Darth Vader.

My sister-in-law made signs with memorable movie quotes. They were all around the party. I liked that this party was chic but didn't break the bank (in other words I could steal the ideas). Loved the idea of using quotes!
They had a Death Star drink station.
They also had a fabulous spread. Clearly it was popular since I snapped this only minutes into the party. People devoured the food just like the Sarlacc devoured Boba Fett.
I love snacks with personality.
These were my contribution to the party. My sister had given me a Star Wars cookie cutter set from Williams Sonoma. The Star Wars obsession runs in the family. I found this recipe. Every party needs Darth Vader sausage rolls.
Each table had one of these cute centerpieces.
And every child received a simple Star Wars themed favor. My oldest son took home a Star Wars kite, my daughter had silvery star nail polish and the baby had star wars bubbles. The kids loved them. I loved the tags.
Star Wars accessories were sprinkled around the party.
I love how the Darth Vader pinata is a casual centerpiece.

We had so much fun at this party...more fun than the Ewoks celebrating the Death Star destruction.
May the Fourth and the Force be with you,
Note from Mrs. Gosling: Can I please be apart of your family?!?
