Transportation Museum...Travels There

Passing Notes Today:  Mrs. Williams

Hey Ladies -

Recently the fam and I took a drive out to Rush, New York for a visit to The New York Museum of Transportation.

The museum is a sort of a big warehouse filled with antique trolley cars, trains, vintage fire trucks, and it's filled with lots of transportation artifacts (I was obsessing over the old signage).

The kids (and parents) can climb aboard the vintage vehicles.  (There's even a train car that can host birthday parties.)

There's modes of transportation on the outside of the museum that kids can "climb aboard" as well.

I love this old bus that the boys ran around on.

My boys' highlight was probably a tie between taking a ride on the trolley...

...or checking out the huge model train layout.

On the Saturday we visited, the kids were allowed to bring their own model train engines to take a ride on the tracks.  You know my boys husband was all over that!

It's a fun museum, not too costly, and totally worth a trip out there -

Note from Mrs. Kelly:  I love these pictures-they're beautiful.  I also love that while your boys enjoyed the transportation, you enjoyed the signs!  Something for everyone at that museum, eh?:)

Note from Mrs. Gosling:  You adventures and pictures get better with time.  Thanks for sharing!
