Garage Sale Table Redo

Passing Notes Today:  Mrs. Williams

Hey Girls,

It's garage sale season and I'm in heaven.  There's nothing I love more than checking out other people's unwanted items and turning them into my wanted items.  Here's proof...I found this side table during one of my recent garage sale visits...

Great size, pretty legs, $10 - Sold!

The top had seen better days...but I had a plan...

Put my boys to work sanding the top and prepping the table for paint.

These labels are on the bottom of the table.

Once the table was prepped (I use that term loosely since my 7 and 5 year old sons did it in their bathing suits), we got painting.  I typically use a big brush and let the boys "help" with small brushes.

This sad, bumpy surface is how the table looked after three coats.  Not good.  So, off to Home Depot we went.

We picked up some fine sand paper and a roller.  I sanded the flat surfaces to even out the brush strokes and repainted them for a smooth finish (shoulda done it right the first time...).

Finally, dry, finished, and placed on the sun porch.

I'm loving this little white table -it's sweet and fresh and so wanted!

Talk soon,

Note from Mrs. Kelly:  I love your transformation.  That table has fun lines.  Looks like it was always destined for your porch.  Nice job!  Also, you know I love that it was from Buffalo!

It turned out beautifully! I love yard sailing, we have been having a hay day.
