Pittsford Farms Dairy

Passing Notes Today:  Mrs. Kelly

Mrs. Gosling and Mrs. Williams,

The other day I went to one of my favorite spots in town and just so happened to have my camera on me!  The Pittsford Farms Dairy is a little slice of heaven located in the heart of our town.  The food, the decor, the people and the service make this dairy a showstopper.  I asked Charlie (the owner since 1961) if I could take some pictures to share with you and he graciously obliged!  Oh, the details!  There are milk carafes and cows and old crates and farm wares filling this space.  I love every inch of it.

Here is what you see when you turn into the Dairy.

And then there's the beautiful barn dairy.  Charlie told me his son is an architect and helped design this.  Even the landscaping is gorgeous.

Check out the sweet chalkboard sign that greets you.  Okay, you got me.  I'll try the homemade custard.  I mean, if the sign says so.

I want a barnwood planter.

Cue the hallelujah chorus.  Look at all that beautifully organized milk in those cute glass containers.  And look at all that wood!

Mmm.  Cookies.  My favorite are the polka dot cows.

Here's the ice cream / bakery section of the Dairy.  It's what I call home away from home.

155

Does it get more Americana than this?  Flags, pies, ice cream, barns...

141

These quiches could be dangerous for me.

148

And let's talk about the coffee.  First of all, I love reading the specials on a chalkboard bovine.

154

Um, yes please.

168

I don't know why an organized refrigerator makes me so happy.  Doesn't this look purdy?
177

Milk tastes better when it comes in pretty bottles.  It's a fact.
178

That freezer is filled with frozen goodies and ice cream confections!
180

Who came up with this light fixture?  So fun!
170

The Dairy also supports local schools and organizations.  As if I needed another reason to buy ice cream there.
185

Check out the seating at this long farm table.

Here is what my children love most about the dairy:

Once you're outside, the details keep coming.  Look at what holds the parking signs.

And finally, check out the view.  You can enjoy an ice cream or latte or quiche while drinking in the beauty of the farmland.  It doesn't get much better than this.

I've never been there! I'm going to make it a point to stop by in the next few weeks, though!
